The Lamb set His face like flint toward Jerusalem. As we enter this week before the Passover and Resurrection Sunday, Christ our Passover Lamb has clearly laid out the pattern for us to follow.
In the days leading up to Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem to fulfill the Passover, the scriptures tell us that the heart of the Lamb was steadfastly set upon His mission. He would not allow any distractions to cause Him to deviate from His appointed time.
Luk 9:51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, Luk 9:52 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. Luk 9:53 But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. Luk 9:54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" Luk 9:55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. Luk 9:56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.
Follow the Lamb! Be resolute, passionately determined, and steadfastly proceed in the Way. Rejection will be the order of the day but do not let it anger you and create a wrong spirit.
In this season of shaking, the Spirit of the Lord is reminding us we are entering into an appointed time that has been foreordained from the foundation of the world. Jesus went with a resolute heart to Jerusalem for the time had come to fulfill His mission. Now we too as the Bride of Christ, we must fulfill our mission as well.
Be resolute, passionately determined, and steadfastly proceed in the Way. This is not a time to compromise. This is not a time to be distracted and allow boredom to turn our faces away from our divine appointments and calling. We have been groomed and prepared for this hour. He will give us the grace to navigate through troubled waters.
Isa 50:7 "For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.
Right now, our love is being challenged by the decisions others make. Let us not betray or judge one another. This needs to be a time for solidarity. We are not to call down fire upon our brethren!
1Co 2:15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 1Co 2:15 TPT Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.
Follow the Lamb! Follow His heart, and line up with His intentions and character as we follow Him to the Cross. The Cross is our destiny and it is there we will experience resurrection power.
We are to watch our anger! We are to watch our judgments against fellow believers. Instead, let’s pray for one another, love one another and prepare ourselves to be the sacrifice and not the ones who cry crucify!
In the last days, the hearts of many will grow cold. Mat. 24:12 The Greek word for “grow cold” is psucho. This is the same word that we get the English word “psycho”. Is not the world going “psycho” right now? "Grow cold" is also a verb that means breath or blow and the picture is that of spiritual energy blighted or chilled by a malignant or poisonous wind. Can we say a demonic spirit?
The world may become victim to the “poisonous, malignant wind” but we shall not! Follow the Lamb.
